Visit the Museum

A visit to the museum and trail is a great way to spend the day. The trail is over 7 miles long, with plenty of great sights along the way. Walk a short way, or walk the whole thing! Then stop in at the museum and learn about the canal, what it was used for, how it was built, and much more. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 9-4 each day. Admission is $4 for non county residents, $2 for Halifax county residents, and kids ages 8 and under are free!
